Camden Winterfest 2015

January 31–February 8, 2015
Located in both downtown Camden and at the Camden Snow Bowl, Winterfest is a community celebration of winter. With live music, downtown rail jams, snow sculptures, ice carving and ice skating—there’s fun for all ages!  All events are free and open to the public.

Saturday, Jan 31st 
Winterfest Kickoff Celebration – noon-3pm, Camden Public Library Amphitheatre
Community ice carving, live music indoors & out, crafts for kids, hot food

Saturday, Jan 31st & Sunday, Feb 1st
Maine’s only Nationally-Sanctioned Snow Sculpture Competition – Village Green
Sculptors work all weekend, Judging takes place Sunday at noon
CamJam Harborside Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding – Harbor Park
Demonstrations Saturday all day and Sunday morning in Harbor Park
CamJam Freestyle Ski Competition — Sunday, 1-3pm

Monday, Feb 2nd
Alex the Jester — 6pm, Camden Opera House
Tickets available at the door and at local retailers: Clean Bee Laundry, Graffam Seafood,
Camden Public Library, Camden Town Office
Kids $2, adults $5, children up to age 3, free. Family rate $15.

Tuesday, Feb 3rd
Free Family Movie — 6pm, Camden Public Library
Frozen Singalong with Anna and Olaf

Wednesday, Feb 4th
Winter themed movie — 7pm, Camden Opera House
Cool Runnings – Film features the Jamaican Olympic Bobsled team!
Tickets available at the door:.
Admission $4, children up to age 3, free. Family rate $15.

Thursday, Feb 5th
Concert featuring Red Molly — 7pm, Camden Opera House
with opening acts: David and the Lowdown, Miners Creek

Side Country Sports (Rockland), Camden Town Office
$20 in advance, $25 at the door.

Friday, Feb 6th
25th Annual US National Toboggan Championships: 2 & 3-person teams, 4pm
Down the Chute Beer & Wine tasting – Camden Snow Bowl, 3-7pm
Downtown Dance – 8pm, Peter Ott’s Restaurant, Bay View Landing
Banff Film Festival, 7pm, Strom Auditorium (Camden Hills Regional High School)
Vote for your favorite winter-theme drink at www.camdenwinterfest.com in the “Frost Heave Challenge” featured at Camden’s bars all weekend

Saturday, Feb 7th
25th Annual US National Toboggan Championships – 8am-4pm, Camden Snow Bowl
Bus shuttle service from the Village Green to the Snow Bowl runs 7am – 5pm
Costume Contest – noon, Camden Snow Bowl
Chili Challenge, 11am – 1:30pm, Camden Snow Bowl
Pond Hockey: Rockport vs. Camden – Hosmer Pond, Snow Bowl
Snow Plow Parade – 5:30pm, Main Street, Camden
Fireworks over the Harbor, 6:15pm, Harbor Park
