Midcoast Maine Cultural Events in October

Midcoast Maine Cultural Events in October

Sure, you’re coming to Camden to leaf peep, pick apples, and mushroom forage, but what do you do with the weather turns or night falls? Don’t fret! There are plenty of Midcoast Maine cultural events to choose from this October. Here’s our recommended list of things to do indoors this Autumn.

October 2019 Midcoast Maine Cultural Events

  1. Jamie Wyeth Exhibition at Farnsworth Museum. Closing on October 28, 2019, these next few weeks are your final opportunity to see Untoward Occurrences and Other Things, an explosion of color and light from the youngest member of this artistic family dynasty. Also check out On a Mountain in Maine, an exhibition running through December that explores the physical, spiritual, and cultural landscape of Maine’s mountains.
  2. Comedy and Music at the Camden Opera House. Laugh up a storm to Bob Marley or Juston McKinney, or listen to the sweet sounds of guitarist Hiroya Tsukamoto at the nearby Camden Opera House.
  3. Documentaries and Operas at The Strand. An in-depth look at the life of Linda Ronstadt tops the October films at this popular Rockland Theater, while the Met Opera’s live performance of Puccini’s Turandot and the National Theater’s live rendition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream stream in HD.
